Trip to Alaska and West Coast

October 9, 2013 – 44F and Sunny. We drove around Newport, OR. It is a major fishing port in the middle of Oregon. They mainly catch crab and tuna. The town is pretty and full of shops, restaurant, charter boats and fishing boats. We ate at (#1 according to Trip Adviser) Local Ocean Seafoods. It was excellent. They even had  a camel apple ice cream which Jo Ann really enjoyed. We looked at the beach, channel, and lighthouses. It was an interesting and fun day. Tomorrow we move to Coos Bay, OR.
