Trip to Alaska and West Coast

September 1, 2013 –  51 F and Sunny.  We mailed several birthday cards to friends and family. Many of the cards were for August birthdays. Oh, well better than no card at all. We had ice cream for lunch. There is a great ice cream shop in downtown Seward. We, also, checked out the laundry area and are getting ready to do our washing again. We are resting in Seward waiting for UPS to deliver (Sep 6)  our meds from home. We gave Alan and Peggy a copy of our ID’s and they picked up our meds at base. There is a UPS store on Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, AK (5 mins from FamCamp) which will accept our package. After we get meds we will continue on to Valdez, AK and than out of Alaska into Canada. I have been looking at glacier and whale tours. I have decided to take the trip out of Seward into Kenai National Park instead of waiting for the trip out of Valdez. We will be checking the weather. We do not want it to rain on us.
